Born and raised in the black forest, Germany, I was passed down the love for nature and sports. This love grew stronger during my carpentry apprenticeship in Vorarlberg, Austria. After a few years as a carpenter in the summer and a ski instructor in the winter I discovered triathlon. Since my German Champion title I turned professional. And I've stuck with it ever since.
